Review: Glazed Apple Eau De Toilette

I love perfume. I have different ones for different occasions. For example – if I’m going on a night out, I am unashamed to admit that I use my trusty old (really old) “Immortal” Twilight perfume. If I want to get cracking and write loads of blog posts or do my coursework, I use “Dirty” by LUSH, which is super minty and sweet and makes me feel productive.

I love Christmassy scents all year round – cinnamon, clove, orange, spiced apple, the lot. I bought a magazine and got a little Body Shop card (you know, the ones where you either have £3, £15 or £100 on it, but you don’t know until you take it to the till?), so I thought it would be the perfect time to try out one of their new Christmassy perfumes.

If anyone wanted to know, I had £3 on my card. For the past two years I got £15 both times. Darn.bodyshopperfumeSo – the perfume I picked up was the “Glazed Apple Eau De Toilette” – and I love it. For one thing, the bottle is tiny and gorgeous and green and Christmassy. That was four things.

The scent is delicious – it smells really apple-y, and not too sweet (I find that apple-scented things sometimes go a bit far and you end up getting a sugar rush from the smell alone), so it’s perfect for daytime or later on in the evening.

The scent lasts a really long time, and even when it’s faded a little bit, it leaves behind a really sweet but refreshing smell that feels quite organic, as if you just naturally smell like apples and sugar and deliciousness.

The bottle is £8.50 (but I got it for £5.50, with my little card), which I think is good value because of the strength of the product – you really don’t need much, it goes a really long way. All in all – good one, The Body Shop!
