I’ve already got enough bottles of Lush shower gel to last me the next 400 years, so I reaaally didn’t need to buy any more (but I did anyway).
When I heard that one of my all time favourite Lush scents – yuzu and cocoa – was being made into a shower gel- oops, sorry, shower cream – I literally leapt out of bed at 9am and trotted off to my local Lush to pick some up.
While I was there I obviously had to buy the Comforter one, right? I mean, I have an unused Comforter bubble bar that’s sitting sadly in my bath-shelf (yes, I have a bath shelf. It is FULL) waiting for a shower gel-shaped companion.
And I couldn’t leave the little baby bottle of “Beautiful” alone could I?
I’ve since tried them all out a couple of times (oh, the stress I put myself through for you lovely readers!) so here are my first impressions.
First off – look how brightly coloured these little guys are! My entire body goes either bright yellow or dark pink depending on what shower cream I use (and my white loofah has never been the same. That sounds awful).
Hopefully from my expertly-swatched wrist you can tell that the Comforter cream (£9.50) is much more runny than the other two. This makes it easy to slosh too much on, so be careful! The scent is AMAZING – think sugary Ribena-y goodness. I use this before bedtime to make me sleepy.
Yuzu and Cocoa (£9.50) is also pretty liquid-y. This stuff smells incredible; I sometimes use it as a bubblebath (a very yellow bubblebath) and I sit there sniffing away at all the bubbles. It seems really moisturising too – now I just need a body butter in the same scent to go with it!
And finally, Beautiful (£4.75). Much more conventional in texture, it’s thicker than the other two. It smells divine, like apricots and peaches. Also, look how glittery!
So those are my first impressions! Have you picked any new shower gels- dammit, creams – up lately? Let me know!
The colours are fab.
