I hate exercising. There you go, I said it.
I should probably clarify – I hate running. I don’t like the gym. Lifting heavy stuff hurts my arms. I hate that kind of exercise.
I do like dance, however. I dance on my university dance team, and it doesn’t even feel like exercise (until we try out the Blogilates Six Minutes to a Sexy Booty workout video and all simultaneously die after 2 minutes).
So, here’s a little glimpse into what I take with me in my dance bag, including some lovely fragrances from So… With Attitude! If you’re not a dancer, you can easily incorporate some of my handy little products into a gym bag, or even an overnight bag!
The Bag
I pack my dance stuff into this handy little cotton tote bag from Primark. It says “Emotional Baggage” on it, which made me laugh out loud in the shop. Plus, it was a bargain at only £1.50. Win.
The Shoes
I got my tiny, tiny practise ballet shoes from eBay (from China, in fact). They’re a size 4. They’re too big.
The Clothes
I bought my short-sleeved leotard from Dance Direct. Putting on one of these bad boys in the morning really reminds me that I’m going to dance to work off some calories and look flipping graceful while I’m doing it.
I got my sports bra from Sports Direct and I am extremely thankful for its existence. It’s a happy, bright pop of colour and it keeps everything where it’s supposed to be.
The Beauty
I don’t often shower at the gym (mainly because there are communal showers and nobody wants to see that), but if I ever do, I take LUSH’s “Dirty Springwash” shower gel with me. It’s a gorgeous rich spearmint scent that really makes you feel like you did something worthwhile with your morning.
To keep my oily skin from going overboard, I use the Body Shop Vitamin E spray.
The Fragrance
Okay, so who remembers being in the changing room at secondary school and being the ONLY GIRL who forgot her So…? body spray?? Literal nightmare.
I’m the same height as I was in Year 8, so why should I change up my favourite work-out scent? Logical.
I go for So… Kiss Me every time, which is their bestseller – not only does it smell amazing (vanilla and blackcurrant, don’tcha know?) but it’s a bargain too. You can pick up the body sprays for just 95p in Wilko!
The lovely peeps at So… With Attitude were nice enough to send me the body fragrance, but I’ve honestly been using the scent since I was about 12 years old! If you fancy being the face of So…? (and I do, so I know you do too), you can check out their #MyAttitude competition HERE.
What do you pack in your gym bag? Do you even have a gym bag? I know I don’t.
