A couple of days ago I was sent this Botanics Shine Away Invigorating Face Scrub, as a part of Beauty Product Testing (thank you guys!).
This product is part of Boots’ “Botanics” line, which was developed with Kew Gardens which is pretty exciting. It retails for around £2.70, so it’s a really affordable product (yay!).
So what did I think?
I LOVE it.
I spend a lot of time on public transport and in giant germ-filled lecture theatres, so my skin is pretty dull. In some lights it even looks a bit grey, which isn’t the most desirable look!
The scrub smells delicious; it’s a mixture of fruity and floral which really is invigorating as the title suggests. It’s perfect for a pick-me-up in the morning, when all you want to do is go back to bed (I feel you, don’t you worry).
It promises to “buff away impurities”, and I think you can tell from my squeaky clean face that it does just that.
I’d recommend using it maybe three times a week if you’ve got tough skin – mine is really sensitive at the moment (which is annoying, as I used to be able to slap whatever I wanted onto my face with absolutely no reaction), so I think I’ll be using this once a week for a treat.
I even love the packaging – it has an almost medicinal-looking white and green colour scheme which is pretty and refreshing, and doesn’t look out of place with all the LUSH pots on my bathroom windowsill!
I’ll definitely be picking up some more of this range, so look out for more first impressions and reviews over the next couple of weeks.
What’s your favourite face scrub?
This looks great! I’m so keen to try as much of this range as possible.
I reviewed the foam wash in the Botanics range: it’s here if you wanna take a look http://naomiupton.blogspot.co.uk/2015/02/product-review-botanics-cleansing-foam.html
