1. “How To Look The Best At Everything” in ‘Light’ by Benefit
I absolutely love this kit (a massive splurge for me, and my first ever Benefit products!), which contains two mini concealers, a trial size Porefessional (which I absolutely adore, and am really considering buying the full size), a mini foundation, powder and little powder brush. I’ll review the whole kit separately, if you’d like!
2. Topshop Gloss Ink in ‘Sloe Gin’
Annoyingly, you can’t see the colour of this gloss – it’s a super pigmented rosy berry colour. I’d have taken a picture to show you but I’ve left it at my parent’s house! I bought this in Topshop’s sale, but I’d definitely pay full price – it stays glossy and shiny without drying out the lips and I didn’t even have to touch up during the day. 10/10!
3. Cien Flower Deodorant
Bit of a weird one, but I found myself suddenly without any deodorant one day, and picked up this one in Aldi. Yep, Aldi. It immediately became my favourite deodorant – it smells absolutely gorgeous, literally like a perfume. I think it was about 95p, so I’ll definitely pick up more of these!
4. EOS Lip Balm in “Sweet Mint”
My first EOS lip balm! Am I an American beauty guru yet? I love this – the sweet mint taste is a bit tingly on the lips but I like that – it feels like it’s doing something! I bought this one on Amazon for about £3.50, because I resent having to spend £6.50 on one in Topshop!
5. *Doll White Teeth Whitening Strips*
Okay, I’ve never tried whitening my teeth before, but I started noticing that some of my more nude/peach toned lipsticks were making my teeth look not-as-white-as-I’d-like. I was really happy when a little parcel arrived promising to provide noticeable results. You brush your teeth so they’re super clean, then pop these handy strips over your top and bottom teeth (they taste minty, so that’s an extra bonus) for half an hour, then just remove them and rinse your mouth out. I use them maybe once a week, and I’m loving them so far. I’ll write a more detailed post on them when I’ve finished the packet.
6. Lush Karma Perfume
I’ve had a horrible time of it lately – I’ve been feeling really down and miserable and hard on myself, so I marched myself down to Lush and bought myself a little Karma perfume. This scent is just unbelievable, sweet and rich and it makes me really happy!
7. L’Oreal Mat Magique Foundation in ‘Rose Ivory’
This foundation is absolutely gorgeous – it’s a soft velvet-y texture that glides on really easily (especially on top of primer) and provides really nice coverage. I found this one in B&M, actually – for about £3.99, which saved me quite a bit!
8. Yes To Grapefruits Exfoliating Face Wipes
A revelation – I’ll be honest, I’m not brilliant at taking off all my makeup before bed – I tend to scrub half-heartedly at my face with a flannel and then slap a load of moisturiser on top. These wipes have changed that – they smell so delicious and feel so luxurious that it makes me WANT to take off my makeup at the end of the day!
What are some of your beauty favourites?
I love your Summer picks! I usually pick up the Yes to Cucumber wipes but the Grapefruit ones sounds lovely and so perfect for this time of year I’ve never really paid any attention to the Lush scents (I always get distracted by the bath bombs!) but you’ve made me really curious and I’m going to have to pop in and smell Karma!
