Primark PS Beauty Haul & Review

A trip into town to go to the doctors wouldn’t be complete without a sneaky little trip to Primark, would it?

Rather than ogling the winter jumpers and That Pair of knee high platform boots (if you’ve seen them, you’ll know the ones I mean), I headed straight to the little makeup bit – mainly to avoid the crowds, because for some reason the people of Middlesbrough haven’t realised that Primark’s makeup range PS Beauty is like, the best thing ever.

Primark PS Beauty Haul

I picked up 2 lip liners, 3 velvet matte lip crayons, a metallic cream shadow and a foundation stick for £12. Can’t beat that, really, can you?

I love the sleek gold and  black packaging – made even cuter by the pops of colour on the lip products (which are actually really true to shade, so if you’re in a hurry, you can pop one in your basket and know what you’re getting).

I’ve actually already experienced the wonder of the foundation stick – which can hold up even through a 2 hour body conditioning session at dance. It’s pretty melt-y (is that a word? It is now), but I like that as it sinks nicely into my skin and sets firmly with some loose powder.

As you can see, I’m a milk bottle, so I need the lightest foundation I can find (preferably with a pink undertone – I can sometimes look horrifyingly Simpsons-like with the wrong foundation).

The only problem I have with this foundation is the applicator; as I’ve had a few nasty moments when the entire stick has snapped and fallen onto my carpet, leaving a greasy mark on both the floor and my heart.

The lip crayons and liners are really pigmented, and they’re nice and smooth too! Perfect for covering chapped Wintery lips (nobody will ever know…).

I love the cream shadow, but you need to pack a lot on to get any kind of colour on your lids. I don’t mind this, but I have to set the whole thing with a translucent powder or else I have very sticky eyelids, which isn’t the most desirable trait.

Have you tried any Primark beauty products? Let me know!
