I love a good face mask. There’s nothing better than relaxing in a bubblebath, one leg slung out of the tub so you don’t get too hot (just me?) with a mask on. Not only do you look faintly hilarious, it feels so good when you take it off.
The lovely Angela from Timeless Truth (which you can find here!) sent me a little sample pack with 3 masks inside – two eye masks and a full face sheet mask.
I was sent the Hydra Intense Bio Cellulose Eye Mask (blue), the Multi-Peptide Bio Cellulose Eye Mask (pink) and the Multi-Peptide Calming Revatalising Mask (white). Yay!
The best thing about these masks is how much serum is loaded up inside them; and this serum can be smoothed all over the skin as an extra moisture boost once you’ve removed the masks!
I adore the packaging: it’s nice and simple but still looks pretty fabulous in my face mask basket on my bathroom windowsill. Yes, I have a face mask basket. Yes, these were the only 3 face masks in it. Don’t judge.
The first mask I tried was the Hydra Intense Bio Cellulose Eye Mask – mainly because I was instantly drawn to the pretty sky blue packet. No shame. Let me tell you – I have never had smoother under-eyes than after this baby had worked its magic. Under my eyes tend to get a bit dry (probably because I’m phobic of getting moisturiser in my eye after an infamous event with some Lush Dream Cream… but that’s another story) and this mask really got to work, plumping up my eye bags and generally leaving my skin feeling soft and fluffy. Well, not fluffy, but you get the idea.
I’ve saved the little pink sachet (which has an eye mask inside) for my upcoming work trip to Surrey (exotic, I know), for when I feel the need for a little pamper session. I’m currently wearing the Calming Revitalising full-face mask and considering sending a little Snapchat out to everyone I know so they can be super jealous of how smooth my skin is going to be when I take it off.
Have any of you used sheet masks before? What should I stock up my face-mask-basket with?
