The Body Shop Hair Edit

The Body Shop Hair Edit

If you’ve been a regular reader (hello!) you’ll know that I have a LOT of issues with my hair.

It can’t hold a decent colour, it’s dry and thin and people laugh at my tiny baby ponytails.

I’ve been working on a hair routine that seems to be doing my hair some good. Part of this routine includes products from The Body Shop!

I use the Banana Shampoo & Conditioner, and the Ginger Anti-Dandruff shampoo.

I should mention that I don’t use the anti-dandruff shampoo daily, and nor do I use it to prevent dandruff, because luckily it’s a problem my hair hasn’t tried!

We’ll start with the Banana Shampoo and Conditioner.

This is the most gentle shampoo I’ve ever used. It doesn’t foam a lot, which is nice because too much foaming agent in shampoo can be damaging on the hair. I’m not too bananas about the scent (get it? Hilarious.) as I was expecting something sweet and, well, banana-y. The conditioner has a stronger scent than the shampoo, but it’s still pretty weak.

I use this combination on an almost daily basis (when I’m not treating my hair with Lush’s “New” Shampoo bar) and I feel like it’s made a subtle difference to my hair. It’s less tangled when it’s drying, and is a little softer than it used to be.

Next up is the Ginger Anti-Dandruff Shampoo.

I use this shampoo at the end of the week to completely cleanse my hair. Sometimes I like to mix it with LUSH’s “Big” Sea Salt Shampoo to give it a bit of extra scrub, but I love using it alone too.

The scent is fresh and not too sweet, and it really gets to work soothing your scalp and deep cleansing your hair.

If you use a lot of products in your hair, and you experience build-up, this is a brilliant shampoo to give you a nice blank canvas again.

What are your favourite hair products?
